Oven Baked Bacon

Why do we cook bacon and bake cookies? An old and silly joke, but honestly, if you haven’t tried baked bacon, you’re missing out. It’s easy, set it and forget it, no splatter in the kitchen, and it tends to cook flat (better for sandwiches and easy eating) rather than curling in the pan. This recipe is not tested on thick cut, but is our go to for standard bacon.

Oven baked bacon

A super simple recipe for perfectly cooked bacon every time.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
Course Breakfast

Equipment

  • oven
  • sheet pan or cast-iron pan
  • aluminum foil if desired for easy cleanup

Ingredients
  

  • bacon sliced, as many as desired that fit side by side in pan

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350℉
  • Lay raw bacon side by side in a skillet, pan, etc. Do not overlap for even baking.
  • Bake for 23-25 minutes, or until desired crispiness is reached.
