The Best Popcorn at Home

This is %100 my husband’s recipe. Growing up he worked at a movie theater (affectionately referred to as the Popcorn Factory), and has always had a love of movie theater style popcorn. After many months of testing different kernels, poppers, flavorings, etc, this is now his go-to, perfect popcorn. While there may be more complex or movie theater replica poppers, we’ve found this one works the best for us in quality, ease of use, and small batch size.

The flavacol is the traditional seasoning of movie theater popcorn, flavacol premier is a specific variety that no longer includes the Yellow #5 dye.

Equipment and Ingredients in this recipe:

Popcorn Popper (easy to clean, microwave friendly)

Popcorn Bucket (optional, but recommended to remove unpopped kernels)

Popcorn Kernels (Amish Country Medium White Hulless)

Gold Medal Premier Flavacol (the essential movie theater flavor, now without yellow #5)
