Ready for the grill out – Burger and Fry Sauces

There is little that I enjoy more than a quick sauce that I can whip together that completely elevates a simple meal. Once I started making them, these sauces became a permanent part of every burger night.

Ingredients

Burger Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp real mayonnaise
  • ½ Tbsp yellow mustard
  • ½ Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp spicy dill pickles finely chopped (see note)

Fry Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp real mayonnaise
  • ½ Tbsp Humble House: Guajillo and Red Jalapeno Hot Sauce (see note)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • These recipes really are just as simple as mix the ingredients for each sauce. Tweak ratios to taste if necessary. Serve immediately, or refrigerate up to one week.

Notes

  • For the spicy pickles – this can easily be replaced with standard dill pickles, dill relish, or even forgoing the pickles and adding a dash of your favorite hot sauce. I absolutely love HEB Pickle Me Dilley Spicy Garlic for this recipe if you have it available to you.
  • If can’t find Humble House: Guajillo and Red Jalapeno Hot Sauce, or you want to make it work with what you have available, you can replace it with a mixture of ketchup with a small dash of hot sauce and garlic powder.

For recipes like this, I prefer to keep the ingredients simple. I’d rather not be rushing out for a sauce ingredient as I’m getting burgers going on the grill. You don’t need these exact versions of the ingredients, but this gives you an idea of what I use.
