Eggnog French Toast

Equipment

  • griddle or frying pan
  • small mixing bowl
  • whisk or hand mixer

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices bread
  • 2 eggs room temp
  • cup eggnog store-bought or homemade
  • ½ Tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg optional
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • butter for cooking

Instructions
 

  • Whisk eggs, eggnog, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and all-purpose flour together in a small mixing bowl.
  • Dredge bread slices in egg mixture.
  • Heat butter on griddle or pan over medium heat. Once butter is melted place slices in the pan and cook until medium brown on each side – ideally only flipping once.
  • Serve with maple syrup or powdered sugar.
