Sweet and Tangy Shredded Chicken

This recipe is a staple from my childhood. Growing up if ever there was a crowd to feed for a birthday, summer potluck, or graduation party, you could bet that there would be a crock pot of this on the table. It’s sweet and juicy, but not too heavy on the BBQ sauce.

It can also easily be split in half for an easy meal during the week!

For buns, I *highly* recommend my brioche buns!

Sweet and Tangy Shredded Chicken

Easy crock pot recipe for a crowd.

Equipment

  • slow cooker

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce
  • ½ cup Zesty Italian salad dressing
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • buns to serve

Instructions
 

  • Place chicken in the crock pot.
  • Stir together BBQ sauce, salad dressing, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the chicken.
  • Cook covered for 5-6 hours on low.
  • Remove chicken from crock pot, shred, and return to sauce. Serve on buns.
