Brisket French Dip Sandwich

An easy and delicious recipe for the slow cooker. Brisket stews for hours becoming fall apart tender, and then a brief visit under the broiler with a baguette and some cheese, and you'll have a family-pleaser every time.

Equipment

  • oven/broiler

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 lb beef brisket trimmed of fat and cut into 6 pieces
  • medium yellow onions sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Better Than Bouillon Beef
  • 6 sandwich rolls
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions
 

  • In a slow cooker, place the brisket, onions, garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, and better than bouillon beef seasoning. Cook on Low for 7 to 8 hours, or until the beef is fall apart tender.
  • Shred the meat, place on rolls, and top each sandwich with two slices of cheese.
  • Broil until the cheese melts, replace the tops of each roll, and serve with cooking liquid for dipping if desired.
