One Pot Cheesy Goulash
Perfect for a cold or rainy day, or to enjoy over next to a warm camp-fire. Freeze-dry friendly recipe.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tsp garlic minced
- 1 ½ cups water
- 1 14.5 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- 2 bay leaves (optional)
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- ½ Tbsp seasoned salt (e.g. Lawry's, Nature's Finest)
- 1 cup elbow macaroni noodles uncooked
- ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
Saute ground beef in skillet over medium-high heat until browned. Drain.
Add minced garlic and saute 5 minutes.
Add water, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, bay leaves, soy sauce, and seasoned salt. Stir well. Cover and cook 15-20 minutes.
Add uncooked elbow macaroni to the skillet, stir well, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Turn off heat, remove bay leaves, and stir in cheddar immediately before serving.
