Elevenses Shawl
I’m so excited to share my latest knitting pattern with you! The Elevenses Shawl is a light, asymmetrical shawl worked in DK weight yarn, perfect for cozy layering without being too heavy.
This shawl features a mix of textures that keep the knitting fun and engaging:
-
- Smooth stretches of stockinette
-
- Squishy ridges of garter stitch
-
- The pebbly charm of moss stitch
-
- The classic balance of seed stitch
To give it a clean, polished finish, the shawl is framed with an i-cord edge and i-cord bind off—a simple detail that makes the edges neat and professional.
I knit this design in Brown Sugar Boba Merino DK from Chronicles of Cheryl’s Steeped in Color collection. The warm, earthy tones of this yarn remind me of swirling boba tea, grounding the shawl in comfort and warmth. The shifting hues add depth to the textured stitches and make even the simplest rows a joy to knit.
The result is a short, easy-to-wear boomerang-shaped shawl—a versatile piece you can drape around your shoulders, tuck into a jacket, or wear bandana-style at your neck. It’s just the right size for everyday wear, adding texture and warmth without being bulky.
Whether you’re looking for a meditative knit with just enough variety to keep things interesting, or a quick project that shows off a beautiful skein, the Elevenses Shawl is for you.
