The Perfect Sandwich Bread

1 lb (500g) loaf - RECOMMENDED
- ¾ cup water luke-warm
- 2 cups bread flour
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ Tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 ½ Tbsp dry milk (powdered milk)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 ½ Tbsp butter unsalted, cubed
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
1.5 lb (750g) loaf
- 1 cup water luke-warm
- 2½ cups bread flour
- 2½ Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2¼ Tbsp granulated sugar
- 3¾ Tbsp powdered dry milk
- 1½ tsp salt
- 2¼ Tbsp butter
- 1½ tsp active dry yeast
2 lb (1000g) loaf
- 1½ cup water
- 4 cup bread flour
- 4 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 5 Tbsp dry powdered milk
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
Add the ingredients into the baking pan of your bread machine in the order recommended by your manufacturer.
Select the Soft mode on your bread machine, if possible select Normal crust.
Depending on your bread machine, it will likely run this bread mode for approximately 3 hours.
Once the bread machine has completed the cycles, gently remove the loaf from the baking pan and allow it to cool completely before slicing.
- This recipe was made for a 1 lb bread machine. To use this recipe in larger bread machines, multiply the ingredients accordingly.
