Dry Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ⅓ tsp garlic powder
- ½ Tbsp dried parsley
Wet Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter cold, cubed
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup cheddar cheese shredded
Preheat oven to 400°F and prepare a sheet pan with either a silicon baking mat, or parchment paper.
Place your dry ingredients into the bowl of a food processor, pulse a couple of times to mix.
Add your cubed butter and pulse until your butter is approximately the size of small peas.
Add in cheddar cheese and pulse a couple of times to mix.
Remove mixture from food processor and add buttermilk, stirring in until the dough just comes together. Careful not to over mix.
Using a large spoon, drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing 2-3 inches apart. You should have approximately 6 equal sized dough piles.
Bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until edges are just starting to brown.
Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 2-5 minutes, allowing the butter to permeat and entire biscuit to turn golden brown.
